Available in Bedford, Leicester, St. Albans and Swansea

Wrinkle relaxing injections are the worlds most popular cosmetic treatment. They are typically used to treat lines and wrinkles between the eyebrows, across the forehead and around the eyes. Other areas that can be treated are Bunny Lines (wrinkling of the nose), smokers lines (wrinkles on the top lip), platysmal Bands (treatment of the neck cords), Bruxism (to treat jaw grinding), Hyperhidrosis (sweaty armpits), a dimpled chin and downturned mouth corners.

How do I know what treatment is best for me?

We offer a free consultation to discuss your individual needs and decide on an appropriate treatment plan for you.

How does the treatment work?

The drug is injected into the selected muscles, it blocks the impulse from the nerve to the muscle causing them to relax and so stop movement. This reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

When will it start to work

It usually starts to work after about 3-5 days and is usually working fully after 14 days. We offer a review appointment after 2-3 weeks to assess the affects of the treatment.

How long will it last?

It usually lasts between 3-4 months although this can vary from person to person. Treatment can be repeated any time after three months.

Is it painful?

We use very fine needles and the injections are relatively superficial so the treatment is relatively painless.

What are the side effects?

The most common side effects of the treatment is potential bruising and slight redness at the site, although this is quite rare.  Some people experience a slight headache as the treatment starts to work. Less that 1% of people experience a Ptosis (droopy eyebrow). We will discuss the risks fully at your consultation and ways in which they can be reduced.

Is the treatment suitable for everyone?

You cannot have treatment during pregnancy or when breastfeeding. During your initial consultation we will take a full medical history to determine your suitability for treatment.

Is there any downtime?

No, you can carry on your day as normal.
